It is believed that Mary immigrated to the United
States with her husband sometime in the early 1900's, probably circa 1907.
At the time the 1920 Census was taken, Mary and her husband were
living as renters with her brother Alex in Fredericktown, Washington County Pennsylvania. Mary spend the last eighteen years of her life at the Torrance State Hospital in Derry
Township, Westmoreland County Pennsylvania. On 16 Jul 1952 she fell and fractured her left hip and shortly thereafter developed
a medical complicaton and died. At some point, the spelling of the Dorkod surname changed to DURKAT. It was also spelled
DURKET.
