    Son of Peter and Hazel (Woods) Knepp.  Born 21 Sep 1915 in Magnolia, Morgan County West Virginia; and died 21 Jul 1984 in Washington, Washington County Pennsylvania.  He married Susan A Brenzovich 9 Nov 1946 in Brownsville, Fayette County Pennsylvania and they had two children.  Paul is buired in the Greene County Memorial Park, Waynesburg, Greene County Pennsylvania.

    Paul served in the Unites States Army during World War II with the 819th Military Police Company.  He saw action in Normandy, Northern France, Rhineland and Central Europe. He was awarded the WW II Victory Medal and the European Africian Middle Eastern Campaign Medal with 4 Bronze Stars.  After he married Susan, they bought a small home in Chartiers Bottom near Clarksville, Greene County Pennsylvania and lived there until his death.  Paul was employeed as a coal miner, he retired from the Gateway Mine in Clarksville.  He was a member of United Mine Workers of American, Chartiers Local 6330.  During the 1950's he servered as a Boy Scout Leader and Deputy Game Protector.  He was an avid outdoorsmen.
