Son of Georgij and Anastasia (Kochmarj).  Born 14 Feb 1888 in the village of Vyska [R]/Viharo [H], Uzh [R]/Ung [H] County, Subcarpathian Rus', Austria-Hungary (preent day Ukraine); and died 24 May 1974 in Youngstown, Mahoney County Ohio.  He married Anna Grunyanska 15 Jan 1921 in Homestead Allegheny County Pennsylvania.  They had three children.  Frank is buried in the Liberty Union Cemetery, Girard, Trumbull County Ohio.

Fedor arrived in New York City on 9 Sep 1910 aboard the SS Argentina departing from Trieste Italy.  He entered the United States as Fedor Branzewics, name was changed to Frank Brenzovich.  Frank served in the U.S. Army during WW I.  He was employed as a steel mill worker; retireing from the Ohio Works of the U.S. Steel Corporation, Open Hearth Division.  He moved to Mahoing County Ohio in 1922.    Frank applied for citizenship on 3 Sep 1937 and took the oal of allegiance 28 May 1940.  According to his naturalization documents, he listed his race as Ruthenian and nationality as Czecho-Slovakian.

I was able to obtain a copy of a ship's index containing the name Fedor Brendzowitz.  The following is a transcription of that index document.

Fedor Brendzowitz arrivied in New York on 9 Dec 1900 aboard the SS Graf Waldersee.  Fedor was 24 years of age in 1900, thus putting his birth year around 1876.  His listed his residences as the village of Sztakcam, correct spelling Sztakcsin/Takcsany [H]/Stasyn [R]/Stascyn [U].  He listed his race as Slovak, nationality Hungarian, occupation farmer, and he could read and write.  He indicated this was his first trip to the United States.  He paid his own passage and had $20.00 in his pocket.  His destination was Philadelphia PA and was not married at the time.

There is no certainty that Fedor "Frank" Brenzovics and Fedor Brendzowitz are the same person or even related.  There are two major discrepencies.  The first one pertains to the place of residence prior to coming to the United States.  In the days of the Hungarian Kingdom the village of Sztakcsin was located in Zemplyn [R]/Zemplén [H] County, now present day Slovakia, which was west of Uzh/Ung County the ancestral homelands of the Brenzovics family. The second pertains to their ages.  Based on available documents, there is approximately a twelve year difference in there ages.  Therefore it is very questionable as to whether or not these two are the same person.  However, for the time being I've included Fedor Brendzowitz on same page with Fedor "Frank" Brenzovicz.
