Son of Pavel Galinovsky, probably born
sometime between 1710-1720 in the province of Vetibsk of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth, most likely near the provincial
capital city of Vetibsk. Most likely died around 1777. The following inforamtion was clearly documented in an
official document signed and dated 1 Aug 1879 by the Provincial Marshal of the Nobility and also signed, stamped, and
dated 1 may 1896 by the Mogilev District Court.
Stepan had four sons; Petr, Ivan, Vasilii and
Pavel . In 1777 the family estate "Vushchinichi" was sold to Dominic Sokolovsky for 25,000 zlotys. The amount
of 19,000 zlotys was paid in cash, with the balance to be paid over time. In 1796 the balance was paid in full
to Pavel's descendants.
The following descendant outline is an attempt
to identify Stepan's descendants. However, due to the fact that the source document is written in 19th century
Russian, and it use of legal terms of the time made it difficult to trace Stepan's descendants Coupled with the
fact that some given names were used several time further complicated the effort to accurately identify the linage
of Stepan's descendants.
